About

I studied art at Boston University, l’Istituto Europeo di Design in Rome, and the University of Central Florida. I worked as an illustrator and graphic artist for many years, and am currently working as an instructional designer. I earned my BFA in Art and MA in Instructional Systems from UCF.

I work mainly in traditional media. My goal is to illustrate children’s books, my lifelong passion. I am an active member of the Florida chapter of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI).

Clara Cobb is a talented artist and illustrator. She has worked for us on two of our educational CD-Rom productions: the GAIA Encyclopedia of Astronomy and the GAIA Encyclopedia of Life Sciences. Utilizing a variety of media, Clara demonstrated strong skills in drawing, the use of color, and composition. Topics ranged from portraits to animal and medical illustrations. Clara’s work is timely and expressive. I recommend her as an artist.

Clara, in addition to her excellent design and drawing skills, brought with her working experience gained while living in Europe. She was an ‘A’ student throughout the course and one of my best students. Being a hard worker and always willing to assist her classmates, I chose her at times to assist me in my lectures where she performed magnificently.

I was the directing animator on the Adam Sandler/Sony Pictures film “Eight Crazy Nights” produced at the Walt Disney I.D.E.A.S. production facility at the Disney MGM studios. As the project leader I had the pleasure of working with Ms. Clara Cobb as one of our more experienced animation leads. I found her to be a professional in every aspect of her involvement and a shining example to the younger artists. I would be very proud to recommend her for any teaching position as I have found her to also be attentive and patient with superiors as well as co-workers, a rare quality in these times.

It is with great pleasure that I introduce you to Clara Cobb, who worked recently with us on “Adam Sandler’s Eight Crazy Nights”. Clara was an important part of our clean-up team and added great value to the overall project. It would be my sincere pleasure to work with her again on future projects. I’m sure she would be an equally important asset to you as a member of your team.
